工学系大学の数理基礎科目では，数理の基礎知識の修得だけではなく，問題をモデル化して考える「抽象的思考法」や，問題解決法を正しく導き出すための「論理的思考力」の訓練も期待されている．これら「数理的思考」の育成のための様々な教育法は，従来より考案されている．本研究では，問題に対して一度批判的な立場から考察を加える「クリティカルシンキング」を学生が意識することで，より効果的に「数理的思考」が涵養されると考えた．本事例報告では，数理基礎科目の中で，学生に「クリティカルシンキング」を意識させるために作成した課題や，授業運営に関する教育上の工夫を紹介し，その効果についての分析結果を報告する．;It is expected that the mathematical foundation courses of engineering college don’t supply the basic knowledge of mathematics but also cultivate “abstract thinking”, such as consideration by modeling problems, and “logical thinking”, to derive the correct solutions to problems. A variety of teaching methods for the development of “mathematical thinking” including the “abstract thinking” and “logical thinking” has been devised. We focus on “critical thinking”, where an idea will be discussed from a critical stance once. This idea is similar to the process leading to problem solving in mathematics. Therefore, it can be hypothesized that students can learn “mathematical thinking” more effectively by consciously using the “critical thinking”. In this article, teaching management and problem preparation to take advantage of the critical thinking are reported. In addition, the growing degrees of the critical thinking are analysed and discussed.
